Cytokeratins are intermediate filaments that form a major structural component of the cytoskeleton. In patients with lung cancer—particularly non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)—serum and pleural effusion levels of CYFRA21-1 are elevated. Sensitivity increases with disease progression and shows a positive correlation with tumor stage. From a histopathological perspective, CYFRA21-1 demonstrates higher sensitivity for squamous cell carcinoma than for adenocarcinoma or small cell lung cancer (SCLC). Moreover, CYFRA21-1 serves as an independent prognostic factor for survival and recurrence in squamous cell lung carcinoma. Therefore, CYFRA21-1 testing holds significant clinical value for the diagnosis, disease monitoring, and therapeutic evaluation of NSCLC patients.
AccuSift provides high-performance Cytokeratin 19 Fragment (CYFRA21-1) Antibody Pairs, delivering excellent lot-to-lot consistency.
