AccuSift provides high-performance polymyxin E (Colistin) competitive assay pairings, characterized by exceptional batch-to-batch consistency and optimized for IVD kit development (Lateral Flow, Chemiluminescence, ELISA, POCT). These pairings offer high affinity and specificity, facilitating rapid detection.Polymyxin E shares a similar mechanism of action and antibacterial spectrum with polymyxin B. It is effective against Gram-negative bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Bordetella pertussis, Salmonella, and Shigella. It exhibits cross-resistance with polymyxin B. Clinically, it is used for Gram-negative infections, especially those caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosaand Escherichia coli, including respiratory tract, urinary tract, burn wound, and biliary tract infections. Its toxicity is lower than that of polymyxin B. Alternating or combined use with gentamicin may produce synergistic effects against Pseudomonas aeruginosainfections.Performance Characteristics:
