AccuSift provides high-performance Chloramphenicol assay pairings, characterized by exceptional batch-to-batch consistency and optimized for IVD kit development (Lateral Flow, Chemiluminescence, ELISA, POCT). These pairings offer high affinity and specificity, facilitating rapid detection.

Chloramphenicol is a broad-spectrum antibiotic produced by Streptomyces venezuelaethat inhibits bacterial growth. The naturally occurring form is the levo-rotatory isomer. While effective in preventing and treating bacterial diseases in aquatic products, such as rot, red-skin disease, and enteritis, this drug is highly toxic to humans. It can suppress bone marrow hematopoietic function, causing allergic reactions and aplastic anemia. Long-term consumption of animal products with chloramphenicol residues may lead to intestinal flora imbalance and inhibition of antibody formation.
On December 27, 2019, chloramphenicol was added to the list of drugs and other compounds prohibited for use in food-producing animals.
On October 27, 2017, the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) categorized chloramphenicol as a Group 2A carcinogen.
