It has a diameter of 80–110 nm, with a core composed of double-stranded DNA and proteins, surrounded by a nucleocapsid. It can survive at 56°C for 30 minutes and at 100°C for 2 minutes.Adenovirus infection can lead to a range of diseases affecting the respiratory tract, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, and other systems, such as pharyngitis, pneumonia, conjunctivitis, and cystitis. Adenovirus infections have previously caused large-scale outbreaks in China and can adversely impact public health, resulting in symptoms such as fever, cough, sputum production, pharyngeal congestion, red and itchy eyes, vision impairment, diarrhea, and vomiting. In severe respiratory cases, symptoms may progress to difficulty breathing or even suffocation.
