Testosterone is a natural androgen belonging to the steroid class of natural medicines, specifically an androstane-based sex hormone.Testosterone suppresses the secretion of gonadotropins from the anterior pituitary gland, thereby inhibiting spermatogenesis. It promotes protein synthesis, stimulates bone marrow hematopoiesis, enhances immune function by supporting immunoglobulin synthesis, and increases renal tubular reabsorption of water, sodium, and calcium retention.
