AccuSift provides high-performance chlorothalonil competitive assay pairings, characterized by exceptional batch-to-batch consistency and optimized for IVD kit development (Lateral Flow, Chemiluminescence, ELISA, POCT). These pairings offer high affinity and specificity, facilitating rapid detection.

Chlorothalonil, also known as 2,4,5,6-tetrachloro-1,3-benzenedicarbonitrile, is a broad-spectrum protective fungicide. It acts by binding to the sulfhydryl group of cysteine in the fungal enzyme glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase, inhibiting its activity, disrupting fungal cell metabolism, and leading to cell death. Without systemic activity, it provides long-lasting residual protection due to its strong adhesion to plant surfaces and resistance to rain wash-off.
On October 27, 2017, the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) preliminarily listed chlorothalonil as a Group 2B carcinogen.
