AccuSift provides high-performance tetrodotoxin competitive assay pairings, characterized by exceptional batch‑to‑batch consistency and optimized for IVD kit development (Lateral Flow, Chemiluminescence, ELISA, POCT). These pairings offer high affinity and specificity, facilitating rapid detection.

Tetrodotoxin is a biogenic alkaloid found in pufferfish (commonly known as fugu) and other organisms.
Tetrodotoxin is an aminoperhydroquinazoline‑type compound, one of the most potent non‑protein neurotoxins found in nature. It exerts a local irritant effect on the gastrointestinal tract. Upon absorption, it rapidly acts on nerve endings and the central nervous system, with high selectivity and affinity blocking sodium channels on excitable membranes, thereby inhibiting nerve conduction, leading to paralysis and death.
