Imipenem-hydrolyzing metallo-β-lactamases (often referred to as “imipenemases”) is a clinical term for a group of Ambler class B metallo-β-lactamases capable of efficiently hydrolyzing imipenem. This is not a single specific enzyme, but a collective name covering multiple metallo-β-lactamase subtypes that can degrade imipenem. The most common representative subtypes include VIM (Verona integron-encoded metallo-β-lactamase) and IMP types, both of which exhibit strong imipenem-hydrolyzing activity.
AccuSift offers high-performance monoclonal antibody pairs against imipenem-hydrolyzing metallo-β-lactamases. Designed for IVD kit development (lateral flow, chemiluminescence, ELISA, POCT), these antibodies deliver excellent batch-to-batch consistency, high affinity, and high specificity to enable rapid detection.
