Fentanyl is a short-acting analgesic and a potent μ-opioid receptor agonist. It is primarily utilized as an adjuvant in anesthesia and intravenous balanced anesthesia, or in combination with droperidol for neuroleptanalgesia, making it suitable for minor surgical procedures. Additionally, it is administered via epidural or subarachnoid routes to manage acute postoperative pain and chronic pain. Available formulations include injections and transdermal patches.
First synthesized by Paul Janssen in 1960, fentanyl and related analogs carry a significant risk of abuse.
To support law enforcement efforts, AccuSift provides high-performance competitive antibody pairs for fentanyl detection. These reagents offer exceptional inter-batch consistency and are optimized specifically for IVD kit development, including lateral flow assays, chemiluminescence, ELISA, and POCT platforms. Featuring high affinity and high specificity, they enable rapid and reliable detection.
