AccuSift Preservative PC300 is one of the most widely used bactericidal agents. It is applicable in various fields such as reagents, quality control materials, calibrators, and buffer solutions. At low working concentrations, PC300 helps extend product shelf life and effectively inhibits a wide range of microorganisms. It does not affect the activity of most enzymes, antibody binding in reaction systems, or changes in the absorbance of indicator substances. Its excellent water solubility supports broad application in in vitro diagnostic (IVD) reagents. The degradation rate of PC300 increases with rising pH in weakly alkaline environments; therefore, it is more stable under acidic conditions (pH < 7). PC300 remains relatively stable at low temperatures (<25°C), but its degradation rate accelerates as the solution temperature increases. At pH 7, natural light rapidly degrades the active components of PC300 (half-life t = 322 hours). Solutions containing thiols, sulfides, strong reducing agents (e.g., sodium sulfite, bleach), or high pH accelerate the photodegradation of PC300. Divalent ions such as copper, zinc, manganese, and magnesium, as well as phosphates, can inhibit its chemical degradation.
•Broad-spectrum, long-lasting effectiveness against bacteria, molds, and yeasts.
•Free of added organic solvents, halogenated organic compounds, formaldehyde releasers, or divalent metal ions.
•Effective across a wide pH range (2.0–8.0).
•Highly soluble in water, most lower alcohols, and glycols.
•Compatible with antibodies and various enzymes; does not affect the activity of enzymes such as HRP and AP.
•Does not inhibit antibody binding.
•Environmentally friendly, readily biodegradable.
