AccuSift provides high‑performance polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) competitive assay pairings, characterized by exceptional batch‑to‑batch consistency and optimized for IVD kit development (Lateral Flow, Chemiluminescence, ELISA, POCT). These pairings offer high affinity and specificity, facilitating rapid detection.

Polybrominated diphenyl ethers are a group of diphenyl ether derivatives with varying numbers of bromine atoms. They are primarily used as flame retardants, commonly added as additives to plastics, electronic products, insulation materials, textiles, furniture, etc.
PBDEs are non‑irritating to the skin and exhibit low acute toxicity. Their primary hazard lies in potential developmental neurotoxicity, especially in children. Lower‑brominated congeners are more readily absorbed and bioaccumulated in organisms than higher‑brominated ones. Trace levels of PBDEs in the atmosphere, water, and soil can enter humans through the food chain, posing potential health risks. Once released into the environment, they can persist for years or longer, making them a persistent organic pollutant. Therefore, in 2009, they were listed on the Stockholm Convention’s list of persistent organic pollutants.
