AccuSift provides high-performance Albendazole Metabolite competitive assay pairings, characterized by exceptional batch-to-batch consistency and optimized for IVD kit development (Lateral Flow, Chemiluminescence, ELISA, POCT). These pairings offer high affinity and specificity, facilitating rapid detection.

Albendazole is a highly effective, low-toxicity, broad-spectrum anthelmintic used clinically against roundworms, pinworms, tapeworms, whipworms, hookworms, Strongyloides stercoralis, etc. After being metabolized into sulfoxide or sulfone compounds in vivo, it inhibits the parasite's glucose uptake, leading to glycogen depletion, or suppresses the fumarate reductase system, hindering ATP production and preventing the parasite's survival and reproduction.
Albendazole-2-aminosulfone is a major metabolite of Albendazole. In animals, albendazole is metabolized by the liver into the active product albendazole sulfoxide (ABZSO), which is further oxidized to albendazole sulfone (ABZSO₂), and finally deacetylated to form 2-aminosulfone (ABZSO₂-2-NH₂). This metabolic pathway is crucial for albendazole's antiparasitic activity.
