Both in vivo and in vitro studies demonstrate that it directly inhibits glucose uptake by nematodes, leading to glycogen depletion and reduced ATP production, ultimately causing parasite death. It does not affect blood glucose levels in humans. Ultrastructural observations show that mebendazole induces microtubule degeneration in the tegumental and intestinal cells of the parasites, resulting in the accumulation of secretory granules in the Golgi apparatus, transport blockage, cytoplasmic autolysis, and complete cellular degeneration, leading to the death of the parasite.Performance Characteristics:
