AccuSift provides high-performance diaveridine competitive assay pairings, characterized by exceptional batch-to-batch consistency and optimized for IVD kit development (Lateral Flow, Chemiluminescence, ELISA, POCT). These pairings offer high affinity and specificity, facilitating rapid detection.

Diaveridine is a diaminopyrimidine antibacterial synergist primarily used to enhance the efficacy of sulfonamide drugs. It works by inhibiting bacterial dihydrofolate reductase, thereby blocking folic acid metabolism. When used in combination with sulfonamides, it creates a dual blockade of folic acid synthesis, resulting in a synergistic effect that can enhance efficacy several-fold to dozens of times. It is effective against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (such as E. coli and Salmonella), but exhibits weak antibacterial activity when used alone. It is often compounded with sulfonamides like sulfamonomethoxine and is used to treat intestinal infections and coccidiosis in poultry.
