Angiotensins are a group of peptide hormones characterized by potent vasoconstrictor effects and the ability to stimulate aldosterone secretion from the adrenal cortex, playing a crucial role in regulating blood pressure and fluid homeostasis. The angiotensin family includes Angiotensin I through VII. Conditions such as hemorrhage-induced hypovolemia or renal pathologies causing reduced renal blood flow trigger the juxtaglomerular cells of the kidney to secrete renin (an aspartic protease). Renin enters the bloodstream and hydrolyzes angiotensinogen (an α-globulin synthesized in the liver) into Angiotensin I (a decapeptide). During pulmonary circulation, Angiotensin I is hydrolyzed by angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) into Angiotensin II (an octapeptide). Subsequently, a portion of Angiotensin II is further hydrolyzed by angiotensinase A in plasma and tissue fluids into Angiotensin III (a heptapeptide).

AccuSift provides high-performance competitive antibody pairs for Angiotensin I (Ang I) and Angiotensin II (Ang II) detection. These reagents offer exceptional inter-batch consistency and are optimized specifically for IVD kit development, including lateral flow assays, chemiluminescence, ELISA, and POCT platforms. Featuring high affinity and high specificity, they enable rapid and reliable detection.

Sensitivity:

Angiotensin I (Ang I): ELISA LOD: 0.03 ng/mL

Angiotensin II (Ang II): ELISA LOD: 0.03 ng/mL
