Protein Stabilizer GG-1
GG-1 is a protein stabilizer with a molecular weight of <330 Da and a purity of ≥99%. It is protein-free.
Core Mechanism:
  1. Preferential Hydration Effect: GG-1 forms a hydration "shell" around protein molecules, which effectively shields proteins from direct structural impact caused by stressors such as high temperature, freezing, or osmotic pressure changes. This helps maintain the three-dimensional conformation and biological activity of proteins, reduces the likelihood of unfolding and misfolding, and prevents abnormal intermolecular interactions and aggregation.

  2. Antioxidant Activity: GG-1 exhibits antioxidant properties, effectively scavenging free radicals such as oxygen radicals and hydroxyl radicals in the system. This minimizes oxidative damage to protein side-chain groups, preventing cross-linking or degradation of proteins.

Operation

Chemiluminescence/ELISA: Add to reaction buffer, labeling dilution buffer, or enzyme stabilizer. Recommended concentration: 0.5%–3% (w/v).

Protects enzyme and antibody activity, reduces background, and improves signal-to-noise ratio and batch-to-batch consistency.

Lateral Flow Immunoassay: Add to marker reconstitution solution, sample pad treatment buffer, or antibody coating solution. 1%–4% (v/v)
Prevents labeled antibody inactivation during drying and storage, maintains line sensitivity, and reduces background on test strips.

Immunoturbidimetry: Add to antibody reagent. 0.5%–3% (v/v)
Protects antibody activity, prevents microsphere aggregation or sedimentation, and improves uniformity.

Flow Cytometry: Add to antibody storage buffer or cell processing buffer. Recommended concentration: 1%–4% (w/v).
Maintains fluorescence signal stability, reduces signal decay during prolonged detection, and improves result reproducibility.

Molecular Diagnostics: Add to enzyme preservation buffer or PCR premix. Recommended concentration: 0.5%–2.5% (w/v).

Enhances enzyme activity retention at high temperatures and reduces nucleic acid loss on tube/chip surfaces.

Freeze Drying: Use in combination with trehalose, sucrose, etc. Mix thoroughly with the target protein solution. 2%–6% (w/v)
Acts as a cryoprotectant for proteins/enzymes/nucleic acids, reduces ice crystal damage, and improves reconstitution rate and activity recovery after lyophilization.
