Protein Stabilizer GG-1
GG-1 is a protein stabilizer with a molecular weight of <330 Da and a purity of ≥99%. It is protein-free.
Core Mechanism:
  1. Preferential Hydration Effect: GG-1 forms a hydration "shell" around protein molecules, which effectively shields proteins from direct structural impact caused by stressors such as high temperature, freezing, or osmotic pressure changes. This helps maintain the three-dimensional conformation and biological activity of proteins, reduces the likelihood of unfolding and misfolding, and prevents abnormal intermolecular interactions and aggregation.

  2. Antioxidant Activity: GG-1 exhibits antioxidant properties, effectively scavenging free radicals such as oxygen radicals and hydroxyl radicals in the system. This minimizes oxidative damage to protein side-chain groups, preventing cross-linking or degradation of proteins.

Operation

GG-1 is a versatile protein stabilizer designed for IVD (in vitro diagnostics) applications. Its recommended usage and functions across different platforms are as follows:

1. Chemiluminescence / ELISA
  • Usage: Add to antibody diluent, sample diluent, or coating buffer.

  • Recommended Concentration: 0.5% - 2% (v/v)

  • Function:

    • Improves signal-to-noise ratio and enhances sensitivity for low-concentration samples.

    • Improves long-term reagent stability and reduces batch-to-batch variation.

2. Lateral Flow Immunoassay (LFIA)
  • Usage: Add to conjugate (label) resuspension buffer, sample pad treatment solution, or antibody spraying solution.

  • Recommended Concentration: 1% - 3% (v/v)

  • Function:

    • Increases color intensity of the test line and reduces background.

    • Improves intra- and inter-assay consistency.

    • May extend shelf life.

3. Immunoturbidimetry
  • Usage: Add to antibody reagent.

  • Recommended Concentration: 0.5% - 1.5% (v/v)

  • Function:

    • Improves the linear range of the standard curve.

    • Reduces false turbidity increases caused by antibody micro-aggregation.

    • Enhances detection precision.

4. Flow Cytometry
  • Usage: Add to fluorescent antibody diluent or cell wash/resuspension buffer.

  • Recommended Concentration: 0.5% - 2% (v/v)

  • Function:

    • Maintains stability of fluorescent signal intensity.

    • Reduces signal attenuation during prolonged instrument runs.

    • Improves result reproducibility.

5. Lyophilization (Freeze-Drying)
  • Usage: Dissolve GG-1 in buffer with other protectants during lyophilization buffer preparation, then mix uniformly with the target protein solution.

  • Recommended Concentration: 1% - 5% (w/v)

  • Function:

    • Preserves the biological activity of the target protein during the freeze-drying process.

    • Promotes the formation of a well-structured lyophilized cake.

    • Shortens lyophilization time and reduces energy consumption.

    • May improve product appearance, reconstitution speed, and tolerance to temperature fluctuations.
