AccuSift provides high-performance competitive immunoassay antibody pairs for Capsaicin with exceptional lot-to-lot consistency. Optimized for IVD kit development (Lateral Flow, CLIA, ELISA, POCT), these antibodies offer high affinity and specificity to facilitate rapid detection.

Background:
Capsaicin primarily exerts its analgesic and antipruritic effects by influencing the release and storage of the neuropeptide Substance P. Substance P is an undecapeptide widely distributed in afferent sensory nerve fibers, dorsal root ganglia, and the posterior horn of the spinal cord. It is a key neurotransmitter responsible for transmitting pain and itch sensations from peripheral nerves to the spinal cord and higher central nervous system. It is mainly used for pain associated with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, muscle pain, back pain, sports sprains, and postherpetic neuralgia.

Key Characteristics:

  • Cross-reactivity: Natural capsaicin 100%, Synthetic capsaicin 100%

  • Sensitivity: ELISA IC₅₀ ≈ 2 ppb; Colloidal Gold: 10 ppb

  • Source: Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

  • Purity: ≥ 90%

  • Recommended Pairing: (Coating) / (Label)

  • Storage: Store at ≤ -20°C for long-term stability. Short-term storage at 2-8°C is acceptable. Shipped on ice packs.
