AccuSift provides high-performance triclosan competitive assay pairings, characterized by exceptional batch‑to‑batch consistency and optimized for IVD kit development (Lateral Flow, Chemiluminescence, ELISA, POCT). These pairings offer high affinity and specificity, facilitating rapid detection.Triclosan is synthesized from 2,4‑dichlorophenol and 2,5‑dichloronitrobenzene via etherification, nitro‑reduction, diazotization, and hydrolysis. It is used for disinfection of skin, oral mucosa, and surfaces that are sensitive to corrosion. Its disinfectant action involves direct interaction with microbial cell walls, disrupting membrane permeability, causing leakage of intracellular contents or influx of harmful substances, leading to microbial death. In terms of antimicrobial efficacy, triclosan exhibits strong bactericidal activity against vegetative bacteria, with better efficacy against Gram‑positive than Gram‑negative bacteria, and notable fungicidal activity. Compared to other disinfectants, its antibacterial effect is comparable to chlorhexidine and slightly better than quaternary ammonium compounds; it is more effective than chlorhexidine against methicillin‑resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA), but less effective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Triclosan is also used in bar soaps, liquid soaps, deodorants, laundry detergents, and sanitary finishing agents.Performance Characteristics:
