AccuSift provides high-performance thiamethoxam competitive assay pairings, characterized by exceptional batch-to-batch consistency and optimized for IVD kit development (Lateral Flow, Chemiluminescence, ELISA, POCT). These pairings offer high affinity and specificity, facilitating rapid detection.

Thiamethoxam is a novel neonicotinoid insecticide. It is primarily used on crops such as tobacco, potatoes, soybeans, corn, and rice to control pests including planthoppers, thrips, leafminers, aphids, grubs, white-backed planthoppers, wireworms, and mirid bugs. Thiamethoxam acts on the postsynaptic membrane of insect neurons by binding to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, disrupting normal nerve signal transmission and causing blockage of neural channels. This leads to an excessive accumulation of acetylcholine, resulting in hyperexcitation, systemic convulsions, paralysis, and eventual death of the insect.
