Hygromycin B, whose molecular structure is similar to destomycin A, exhibits inhibitory effects against Gram-negative bacteria, some Gram-positive bacteria, and actinomycetes. It exerts its anthelmintic action primarily by preventing egg-laying in adult parasites, disrupting the parasite's life cycle, and inhibiting larval growth. It is effective in controlling infections from Ascaris suum, nodular worms, whipworms in swine, and Ascaridia galliin poultry. This product is specifically used as a veterinary antibiotic anthelmintic.
