Triton® X-405 is a liquid, water-soluble non-ionic surfactant with excellent wetting properties. Its primary component is alkylphenol ethoxylate.Triton® X-405 is soluble in water and various common solvents, such as alcohols, glycols, ketones, aromatic compounds, and chlorinated solvents. It is insoluble in higher aliphatic products (e.g., heptane or kerosene) or certain glycols like ethylene glycol. It remains stable in acidic conditions.Triton® X-405 exhibits strong surface activity, effectively reducing the surface tension of water.
